In July 2016, Alta Growth Capital invested in Grupo Industrial Artes Graficas (AGH), a Mexico-based manufacturer of labels for consumer-packaged goods for the F&B, personal care and wine & spirits industries.
With Alta Growth Capital's support, AGH optimized its manufacturing processes and improved product quality. Alta Growth Capital also helped the company launch several new products, such as shrink sleeves and labels with special finishes, and implemented a revised pricing structure to increase profitability. From 2016 to 2024, AGH’s revenue and EBITDA grew at a CAGR of 15% and 37%, respectively. The company implemented several environmental initiatives, including installing solar panels to generate 30% of its energy from renewable sources and recycling 1,400 tons of paper and 1,000 tons of BOPP plastic annually. AGH also earned an FSC certification, ensuring all sourced paper comes from well-managed forests.
In a recent GPCA Global Tech Brief, Managing Director, VC & Tech Carlos Ramos de la Vega explored the rise of AI-driven faith apps. With startups like Romania-based Bible Chat raising millions, AI is moving beyond assisting spirituality to actively interpreting it. Should technology have a role in shaping religious beliefs, or should that remain in human hands?
