The global buildout of computing power, data storage and AI infrastructure continued to accelerate in Q1, according to GPCA’s Industry Data & Analysis. Investors deployed USD5b into digital infrastructure deals during the quarter, the second-highest on record. Digital infrastructure has become one of the most durable and defensive themes across private capital.

GEF Capital Partners | Premier Energies

In September 2021, GEF Capital Partners invested in Premier Energies, an India-based manufacturer of solar modules and cells serving residential and commercial customers, including independent power producers.

With GEF’s support, Premier Energies expanded in-house input production and advanced its sustainability efforts. Premier installed a 6-megawatt rooftop solar system, reducing emissions by about 4,158 tonnes of CO₂ annually, while recycling 87% of non-hazardous waste and repurposing 28% of hazardous waste for use in the cement industry. These efforts helped its facility become the first in India to receive LEED Gold from the US Green Building Council. Premier Energies also partners with local colleges to recruit new graduates and develop them through its training program, which reached approximately 90% of full-time employees as of August 2025.

► Seraya Partners committed up to USD500m in equity capital to Faraday Energy, a new energy infrastructure platform jointly launched with Schneider Electric to invest across Asia Pacific, Gulf Cooperation Council countries and select international markets. #Asia

► CICC Capital, Shanghai Semiconductor Equipment Material Industry Investment Management, Shanghai Dianke and others invested in a CNY1b (~USD147m) Series D for SpinQ, a China-based quantum computing manufacturer, with follow-on from Toposcend Capital, Jadex Capital and Fengkaixiang Investment. #Asia

► Advent International acquired a 6.5% stake in Natura, a Brazil-based cosmetics company, bringing its total stake in the company to 8%. #LatinAmerica

► Meta Platforms agreed to invest USD900m in CRED, an India-based fintech platform, at a USD4.5b valuation. #Asia

► HSBC México provided a USD143m credit line to Nexu, a Mexico-based AI-enabled automotive financing platform. #LatinAmerica

FUNDRAISING

► Sparrow Capital reached an INR4.75b (~USD50m) final close for its third fund focused on seed-stage companies in India. #Asia

EXITS

► Brookfield Asset Management partially exited Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust, an India-based telecom tower infrastructure investment trust, via an INR22.7b (~USD240m) sale. #Asia

► SeaTown Holdings partially exited Foundation Healthcare Holdings, a Singapore-listed multispecialty private healthcare platform, via a stake sale in the company’s SGD242m (~USD186m) IPO on the Singapore Exchange. #Asia

► GIC Group, through Chiswick Investment, partially exited Genus Power, a Jaipur, India-based smart metering solutions provider, via an INR9.6b (~USD100m) open-market sale of an 11.03% stake. #Asia
