Investor Training: Strategies and Resources for Increasing Participation of Women in Private Capital

GPCA will host an investor training from 9 am to 5 pm on 20 August 2024 at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre in Singapore.

 

This training will provide an overview of gender in the context of private capital and highlight gender tools and platforms, as well as challenges faced by LPs and GPs.

► ArtCap Strategies closed USD665m in senior secured financing to support the Almeida family and Kohler’s acquisition of Interceramic, a Mexico-based ceramic and porcelain tile manufacturer. #LatinAmerica

 

► Merama, a Mexico- and Brazil-based e-commerce brand aggregator, secured a USD80m credit facility from Gramercy Funds Management. #LatinAmerica

 

► Norfund led a USD55m investment in Xurya, an Indonesia-based provider of rooftop solar panels, with participation from British International Investment, AC Ventures, Swedfund and Clime Capital. #Asia

 

► FIBRAeMX, a Mexico-based real estate investment trust, will acquire a stake in Grupo Autopistas Nacionales (GANA), a Mexico-based toll road operator, for MXN5.2b (~USD285.5m). #LatinAmerica

 

► Mubadala invested USD250m in Getir, a Turkey-based grocery delivery platform, as part of a restructuring of the company’s operations. #CEE

 

► Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan acquired a significant minority stake in India-based non-banking financial company Kogta Financial for USD148m, facilitating a partial exit for Morgan Stanley and Creador. #Asia

 

► Finnest invested USD145m in Kitchens@, an India-based cloud kitchen platform.

► Google acquired a stake in New Green Power, a Taiwan-based solar power firm backed by BlackRock. #Asia

 

► Patria acquired a 90% stake in a portfolio of Brazil-based wind power assets from power distributors ContourGlobal and Eletrobras. #LatinAmerica

 

► Sweply, a Saudi Arabia-based advertising platform for SMEs, raised a USD2m seed round, with participation from Sanabil 500 Global and Salla. #MiddleEast

 

FUNDRAISING

► Inside Capital Partners reached a USD55m first close for its second equity fund focused on SMEs in Southern and East Africa. #Africa

 

► SIFEM invested USD15m in Ashmore Andean Fund III, a fund focusing on infrastructure and growth investments in Colombia and Peru. #LatinAmerica

 

EXITS

► Patria exited Guarde Aqui, a Brazil-based space rental solutions company, through a strategic sale to GoodStorage, a Brazil-based self-storage company. #LatinAmerica

 

► Mediterra Capital fully exited Glasshouse, a Turkey-based cloud services provider, via a sale to UAE-based e& for USD60m. #CEE
