    ► Gentari and GIC agreed to invest USD1.75b in AM Green Ammonia, an India-based hydrogen and ammonia producer owned by the founders of renewables company Greenko Energy Holdings. #Asia

     

    ► KKR agreed to invest USD400m in OMS Group, a Malaysia-based telecoms infrastructure and subsea cable services company. #Asia

     

    ► Temasek led a ~USD384.9m equity and debt round for Ola Electric, an India-based electric scooter manufacturer, with participation from the State Bank of India. #Asia

     

    ► General Atlantic led a USD200m Series B for QI Tech, a Brazilian API-based credit issuance platform, with follow-on from US-based growth investor Across Capital. This is the largest round raised by a Brazilian startup so far in 2023, according to GPCA Research. #LatinAmerica

     

    ► Raxio, a provider of carrier-neutral, Tier III certified data centers in Africa, raised USD46m in equity from Meridiam and Roha. #Africa

     

    ► Polaris Partners led a USD27m Series A+ for Singapore-based biotech company Engine Biosciences, with participation from Coronet Ventures and SEEDS Capital, as well as follow-on from Temasek-backed ClavystBio, Invus and EDBI. #Asia

     

    ► Acrew Capital led a USD20m Series A+ for Nomad Homes, a UAE-based residential real estate listings platform, with participation from 01 Advisors, HighSage Ventures, Abstract Ventures, Partech Partners, Precursor Ventures, Potluck Ventures, Knollwood and others. #MiddleEast

     

    ► Global Ventures led a USD3.6m seed round for Almouneer, an Egypt-based healthcare platform focused on diabetes and obesity, with participation from Proparco, Digital Africa, Wrightwood Investments and others. #Africa

     

    EXITS

    ► MidEuropa agreed to exit Romania-based food retailer Profi Rom Food via a sale to Ahold Delhaize at an enterprise value of EUR1.3b (~USD1.37b). #CEE

     

    ► Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) exited Atlas Renewable Energy, a solar energy asset portfolio encompassing Conjunto Fotovoltaicos Juazeiro, Sao Pedro, Sol do Futuro, Sertão Solar and Lar do Sol, through a BRL2.3b (~USD458.5m) sale to global energy solutions conglomerate Engie. #LatinAmerica

     

    ► Woolworths Holdings acquired a 93.45% stake in South Africa-based petcare retailer Absolute Pets, facilitating an exit for Sanlam Private Equity. #Africa

     

    ► Intesa Group acquired Romania-based retail bank First Bank from J.C. Flowers. #CEE

     

    ► E20 Investment acquired a majority stake in Lucky Fish, a Turkey-based vertically integrated sea bass and sea bream production and processing company, from Mediterra Capital Private Equity. #CEE
