New GPCA Member Portal

GPCA launched a new Member Portal through which members can access GPCA’s content and exclusive member benefits. The new Member Portal will house:

Data Room (formerly GPC Analytics) – This interactive data platform includes fundraising, investment and exit activity by fund managers and corporate and institutional co-investors across all asset classes and geographies covered by the team. Data can be filtered and sorted by region, country, asset class and sector – and downloaded for further analysis. Our fundraising data archive stretches back to 2006; investments and exits data to 2008.
Member Directory – The new GPCA Member Directory includes details on the strategies, geographic footprint and key contacts for all GPCA Members, as well as download functionality. Member users can update their individual and firm profiles directly on the platform.
Reports and Analysis – Members can use the Member Portal login to access underlying data and analysis from GPCA’s special reports.

In March 2015, Affirma Capital invested in GZ Industries (GZI), a Nigeria-based manufacturer of aluminum beverage cans that supplies to several multinational beverage companies across Africa.

With Affirma's support, GZI launched a second manufacturing facility in Nigeria and one in South Africa. Affirma also helped GZI establish a comprehensive ESG management framework. Recycling aluminum saves up to 95% of the resources needed for new aluminum. As of September 2023, GZI's operations in Nigeria and South Africa use 84.2% and 56.1% recycled content, surpassing the 50% target. GZI became the first can maker in Africa to receive the Aluminum Stewardship Initiative (ASI) certification, a global framework focused on fostering responsible production, sourcing and stewardship of aluminum across the value chain.
