2025 Industry Data & Analysis

#GPCAResearch

GPCA’s 2025 Industry Data & Analysis features in-depth private capital data, commentary and analysis on key trends across global markets.

Private capital deal value climbed 19% in 2024 across GPCA markets driven by big-ticket investments in Southeast Asia, Latin America and Central & Eastern Europe (CEE). Investor confidence looks to be strengthening as monetary conditions stabilize, valuation gaps narrow and macro visibility improves – though new policies emanating from the White House could complicate the picture for global investors.

#DealCases

Eversource Capital, GreenCell Mobility-NW

In October 2019, Eversource Capital invested in GreenCell Mobility, an India-based provider of intracity and intercity electric bus transportation services.

With Eversource’s support, GreenCell acquired its first contract to deploy electric buses and has continued to expand its business-to-government (B2G) services over the years. As of October 2024, the company operates over 1,150 buses in 14 states, serving 105,000 customers daily. By displacing diesel buses, GreenCell has prevented 94,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions while pioneering safety and inclusivity initiatives, including India’s first women-only electric intercity route. The company also strives to create opportunities at equal pay for women and frequently holds gender awareness trainings to foster a culture of respect and inclusivity. Women at GreenCell hold positions as drivers, cabin hosts, depot heads, senior managers and board members.
