GPCA Announces New Board Directors

GPCA is delighted to announce the appointment of five new members to the board of directors:

New GPCA Member Portal

GPCA launched a new Member Portal through which members can access GPCA’s content and exclusive member benefits. The new Member Portal will house:

Data Room (formerly GPC Analytics) – This interactive data platform includes fundraising, investment and exit activity by fund managers and corporate and institutional co-investors across all asset classes and geographies covered by the team. Data can be filtered and sorted by region, country, asset class and sector – and downloaded for further analysis. Our fundraising data archive stretches back to 2006; investments and exits data to 2008.
Member Directory – The new GPCA Member Directory includes details on the strategies, geographic footprint and key contacts for all GPCA Members, as well as download functionality. Member users can update their individual and firm profiles directly on the platform.
Reports and Analysis – Members can use the Member Portal login to access underlying data and analysis from GPCA’s special reports.

► Accion invested USD17.5m in Amartha, an Indonesia-based microfinance technology platform that connects SMEs with investors. #Asia

► LeeKr Technology, a China-based manufacturer of chassis control systems for automobiles, raised a CNY1b (~USD138m) Series C from Hangzhou Fuchunwan New City Development Fund, Hefei Construction Investment & Holding, Chery Holding Group and others. #Asia

► Summit Partners led a USD125m investment for Celcoin, a Brazil-based infrastructure developer for fintechs targeting the underbanked. #LatinAmerica

► Clip, a Mexico-based POS payments platform, raised USD100m from Morgan Stanley Tactical Value and undisclosed investors. #LatinAmerica

► Peak3, a Singapore-based insurance core system provider formerly known as ZA Tech, raised a USD35m Series A from EQT and Alpha JWC Ventures. #LatinAmerica

► LogShare, a Brazil-based collaborative logistics platform, raised a ~USD2.2m investment from ONEVC, Niu Ventures and FJ Labs. #LatinAmerica

FUNDRAISING

► SPE Capital reached a USD140m first close for its third PE fund focused on SMEs in North Africa. The vehicle has a USD350m target. #Africa

► 5Y Capital reached a USD800m final close for its third evolution fund focused on AI, robotics and electric vehicles in China. The vehicle exceeded its USD700m target. #Asia

► Neo Asset Management reached a INR25.75b (~USD308m) final close for its maiden special credit opportunities fund focused on profitable entities with custom credit solutions in India. #Asia

► Breega Capital reached a USD75m first close for its sixth fund focused on startups across Africa. #Africa

► Lok Capital reached a first close for its maiden fund focused on distributed energy resources in China. The vehicle has a CNY2b (~USD275.6m) target. #Asia

► KPTL raised USD11m for its new Amazon bio-economy fund with a target of USD30m launched in partnership with BID Lab. #LatinAmerica

EXITS

► CVC-led consortium agreed to partially exit its stake in GEMS Education, a UAE-based K-12 private international institution, via a sale to a consortium led by Brookfield Asset Management. #MiddleEast
