▸ CYBERSECURITY | Bicycle Capital and Group 11 co-led a USD260m round for Dream, an Israeli sovereign AI and cyber-defense platform for governments and critical infrastructure, at a reported USD3b valuation, with participation from Antler, Bain Capital Ventures and Tru Arrow Partners, among others.

 

▸ HEALTHTECH | Andreessen Horowitz led a USD33m Series A for Telepatia, a Brazilian AI-native clinical platform for healthcare providers, with follow-on from Canary, Picus Capital, A-Star, Abstract Ventures, and SV Angel and participation from Shyam Sankar (Palantir), Simón Borrero (Rappi) and David Vélez (Nubank).

  • A-Star led a USD9m seed round in October 2025.

▸ CRYPTO | CoinFund led a USD32m Series A for Trace Finance, a Brazilian regulated cross-border payments and stablecoin settlement infrastructure platform, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Haun Ventures, Jump Crypto, Valor Capital Group, Paxos, HOF Capital, Chainlink Labs and SNZ Capital.

  • HOF Capital led a USD4.3m seed round in 2022, with participation from Circle Ventures and Mantis VC.

▸ Valor Capital Group led a ~USD9.7m Series A for Vixtra, a Brazilian trade finance and import management platform, with participation from NXTP, Headline, Actyus, Bluestone and Simma Capital.

 

▸ PROPTECH | Headline invested ~USD9.7m in Housi, a Brazilian flexible housing and residential services platform, at a reported ~USD233m valuation.

 

▸ CRYPTO | Paradigm led a USD9m Series A for El Dorado, a Colombia-based stablecoin-powered cross-border payments platform, with participation from Coinbase Ventures and Verda Ventures.

 

▸ ENTERPRISE | Headline led a ~USD4.9m seed round for DataMint, a Brazilian AI platform helping companies manage physical assets, including vehicle fleets, ships and solar panels, with participation from Norte Ventures, Opus Investimentos, Valutia, KittyHawk Ventures, Crivo Ventures, Verve Capital, Nameless, Vereda and Heyho.

 

▸ INSURTECH | Collide Capital led a USD4.6m seed round for Braven, a San Francisco-based insurance infrastructure platform founded by a Colombian team, with participation from Fiat Ventures, MGV, Carao Ventures, Angeles VC and Broom Ventures.

 

▸ LEGALTECH | Cloud9 Capital led a ~USD2.9m round for Inspira, a Brazilian AI-powered legal operating platform, with participation from Vivo Ventures.

 

▸ AGTECH | Homegrown Capital led a USD2m round for Cattler, a US-based cattle management platform founded by Argentine entrepreneurs Ignacio Albornoz, Martín Garbulsky and Ezequiel Conti, with follow-on from Grit Road Partners and participation from Innventure.

 

▸ AI | Parceiro Ventures led a ~USD1.3m seed round for Loopia, a Brazilian AI-agent platform for ecommerce marketplaces, with follow-on from Quartzo, Funses I, ACE Founders and BVC Latam.

 

▸ CVC | SPAKIO, a Mexican flexible storage platform for consumers and businesses, raised a USD1.3m seed extension from follow-on investors Liverpool Ventures, the private investment arm of Mexican department-store group Liverpool, and Variv Capital, with participation from new investors Tantauco Ventures and Flecha Amarilla.

 

▸ AGTECH | DOMO.VC led a ~USD500k extension round for TRAG, a Brazilian climate intelligence and parametric insurance platform for agribusiness, with participation from Ventiur, Anjos do Brasil and angels Renato Farias (Azos Seguros) and Mariana Bonora (Sette, ABFintechs).

 

▸ QED Investors made an undisclosed investment in Mexico’s FEMSA lending business.

  • FEMSA will retain a majority stake in the business, while QED will support lending, risk management, product development and organizational scaling.

▸ ACCELERATOR | Parallel18 selected 16 startups for the 14th cohort of its international accelerator. Selected LatAm startups include:

  • Colombia: Bumii, Kiddo
  • Chile: Comuhack, Pawer
  • Argentina: Soy Menta
  • Mexico: GOW Credit
  • Uruguay: Surtly

▸ AI | YC selected Callbook AI, a Colombian-founded AI collections platform for banks and fintechs, for its Summer 2026 cohort and will invest USD500k through its standard funding agreement.

Funds

▸ AI | monashees and Google’s AI Futures Fund launched Gama Fund, a co-investment program committing up to USD10m to five pre-seed and seed AI-native companies founded by Brazilian entrepreneurs.

  • Selected teams may receive up to USD2m in co-investment, up to USD350k in Google Cloud and Gemini credits as well as early access to Google DeepMind models.

▸ Antler launched Antler Brasil I, its first dedicated Brazilian fund, with a ~USD48.6m target to back up to 100 pre-seed technology startups and entrepreneurs beginning before company formation.

  • LPs include BNDESPAR, Finep/FNDCT, BRDE, Badesul and Fomento Paraná. Approximately USD12.6m of the fund’s target is expected to come from foreign investors.
  • BNDESPAR made a commitment of up to ~USD12.3m to the vehicle.

▸ GOVERNMENT-BACKED | Argentina's province of Córdoba approved the creation of Fondo Provincial de Capital Emprendedor, a ~USD6.8m public investment vehicle to finance startups and venture funds with direct exposure to the region.

 

▸ BNDES and Finep launched a public call to select the manager of FIP Conexões Startups, a fund with a ~USD48.6m target to invest in innovative and scalable Brazilian startups that have previously received support from grant or innovation programs.

 

▸ ABSeed Ventures raised ~USD38.9m across two new investment vehicles: an early-stage fund backing B2B software startups with a strong AI component, and an evergreen vehicle backed by four families from Santa Catarina to make Series A and B co-investments.

 

▸ PEOPLE | Alex Szapiro will leave SoftBank Latin America at the end of September after five years with the firm. Rodrigo Costa will assume leadership of the Brazil operation; Juan Franck will lead the rest of Latin America.

  • 10 to 15 of SoftBank’s 70 active Latin American portfolio companies may be ready for a potential IPO, per Szapiro.

▸ Finnovista just launched the Finnovista Fintech Radar Colombia 2026, its annual mapping of the country’s fintech ecosystem. Colombian fintechs, as well as international startups operating in the market, are invited to participate and gain visibility among investors, corporates and other industry stakeholders. Interested companies can apply by 14 July.

MAs and Exits-VB-Header

▸ M&A | Betterfly, a Chilean-founded employee benefits and insurance platform, acquired Minu, a Mexican employee benefits and financial wellness platform, in a USD100m deal.

  • QED Investors led a USD30m Series B for Minu in 2024, with participation from Next Billion Capital Partners, Flourish Ventures, Promotora Impact Ventures, Endeavor Catalyst, Clocktower Ventures, Working Capital Fund, FinTech Collective, Redwood Ventures, Salkantay Ventures and NAZCA.

▸ M&A | Asaas, a Brazilian financial management and payments platform for SMEs, acquired 100% of Helena, a Brazilian WhatsApp-based conversational CRM and sales automation platform, for ~USD29.2m.

  • This is Asaas’s largest acquisition to date and its fifth overall. The company acquired Brazilian digital insurance broker Mutuus earlier this year, after previously acquiring Base ERP, CodeMoney and Nexinvoice.
  • BOND led a ~USD146m Series C for Asaas in October 2024, with participation from SoftBank and Endeavor Catalyst.

▸ EXIT | 14B exited Salú, a Brazilian occupational health and workplace safety management platform, through a ~USD62m sale to Senior Sistemas, a Brazilian enterprise management software company.

  • SoftBank led a ~USD2.3m round for Salú in 2022, with participation from Aggir Ventures, Norte Capital and Tau Ventures.
  • This is Senior Sistemas’s largest acquisition and its second in 2026, following its ~USD12.1m acquisition of Forbiz in May.

▸ M&A | PayModum, a UK-based online payment gateway company, acquired Floid’s US-based subsidiary from Floid AB, the company’s Swedish holding entity, for an undisclosed amount.

  • EDITOR'S NOTE: Floid clarified that neither Floid AB nor its Chilean operating entity were acquired as part of the transaction. The company’s Latin American operations remain active under the same ownership and leadership, with its founding team continuing to focus on the region.
