SAIL Investments | Fueling Sustainability (FS)

In June 2022, SAIL Investments invested in Fueling Sustainability (FS), a Brazil-based corn-ethanol producer and a key player in the country’s rapidly expanding low-carbon biofuels sector. FS converts corn into ethanol, bioelectricity and high-margin animal feed.

SAIL Investments, Fueling Sustainability Deal Case-NW

With SAIL’s support, FS advanced measurable progress toward deforestation-free corn and biomass supply chains while scaling sustainable ethanol production. FS expanded capacity and logistics infrastructure while increasing traceability across its supply chain, tracking nearly three times its committed deforestation-free area and targeting conservation of more than 224,000 hectares. The company also converted 40,000 hectares of degraded land into biomass plantations. In 2024, FS became the first Brazilian corn ethanol producer to receive ISCC certification, enabling sustainable aviation fuel exports and supporting global decarbonization efforts.
